“Color is huge right now… Women don’t want to be trading in the sea of sameness. They want their jewelry to be signature.” - Eddie LeVian
With ever smaller budgets, a popular way women have been strategically updating their wardrobes is through accessories and color, making it this year’s most important trend with greens and tangerine-orange colors leading the way (for Tangerine Tango, see our post here). Who can forget Angelina Jolie’s 115 carat Lorraine Schwartz Columbian emerald drop earrings at the 2009 Oscars? Apparently those very earrings continue to inspire designers as we see them incorporate a wide variety of this color into their designs, from minty pastels to deco-inspired deep greens. Look for a range of greens in emerald-alternative stones, like opals, chalcedony, green agate, peridot, chrysoprase, jade, tsavorites, and malachite to update your look.
